Job Description

Environmental SpecialistImmingham£35,000 to £42,000 12-month contractChase & Holland are working in partnership with an employer of choice. In your new role you would be responsible for supporting the development of the planning and permit applications. Initially this is a 12-month role but there is an opportunity for the role to be extendedPackage & Benefits:

Environmental Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Advise on the technical aspects of the developments
  • Consult with the project team on the project development and applications
  • Work with the project team to ensure appropriate oversight and input into the project, and that the correct information is included
  • Review associated documents on behalf of the company
  • Input into other documents and communications as needed to ensure all required, planning, and permitting issues are accurately reflected
  • Consult with relevant authorities and bodies, such as Local Authority, Environment Agency, Natural England, Wildlife Trusts) as needed.
  • Consult with projects collaborators, such as VPI and Orsted, on aspects of the project including any planning and permitting applications as needed
  • Assist with co-ordination and management of contractors, such as ecological, archaeological etc, conducting the required work
Hours:Full-time, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30 pmRequired Skills & Experience:
  • Environmental background.
  • Technical competency.
  • Knowledge of environmental standards, regulations, and management systems.
  • Good people skills, at all levels.
  • Direct approach to problem solving.
  • Clear communication.
