Job Description

Customs Clerk up to £25,000Grafton Recruitment are delighted to working with a leading transport business who are looking to recruit a Customs Clerk to join their dynamic team.Duties to include

  • Completing Import or Export Customs Clearances
  • Completing NCTS Transit System T-Forms
  • Using related software such as Destin8, Chief, NCTS, CNS, Descartes
  • Administration tasks
Person specification:
  • A confident and approachable person
  • A high level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Experience of all matters Customs related desirable
  • Customer focussed with the determination and willingness to deliver an excellent level of service
  • Good decision-making skills, able to evaluate, prioritise and plan while responding to quickly changing workloads
  • A methodical, logical approach with good problem-solving abilities, able to work on their own initiative within a time critical setting and as part of a team
  • IT literate
  • Customs Clearances (1-2 years experience in either Exports or Imports (or both) desirable)
  • Port Health
  • Licences
  • ERTS
Hours of work:This role works on a 4 on 4 off rota system, working 0730-1830hrs daily.If the candidate needs training, the first 6-8 weeks would be working Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs.Most importantly the candidate must have a passion to get the job done and get it done right.
