Job Description

Customs Clearance Clerk Office based role Location: Immingham Salary: up to £27k (dependant on experience)Hours: 4 on/ 4 off pattern- 0730-1830Grafton Recruitment are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to work for one of their busy, leading freight forwarding businesses in the Immingham area. This is an excellent opportunity to progress and grow within a logistics business. The role:

  • Use of IT to interface with HMRC systems
  • Monitor the clearance status of shipments
  • Maintaining records in the internal system
  • Chase and check for receipt of associated payments
  • Confirm Client verification and authority status
  • Receive and send authorities to their partner network
  • Send instruction to release and hold to UK operational departments
  • Check current date is acceptable for HMRC entry declaration
You will need:
  • Import Customs Clearances - CDS or Chief
  • Export Customs Clearances
  • NCTS Transit System T-Forms
  • Using related software such as Destin8, Chief, NCTS, CNS, Descartes
  • 3-5 years experience within Imports/Exports
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT Literate
