Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group Engineering & Manufacturing are supporting a market leading manufacturer of process equipment in Ilkley, West Yorkshire to find an experienced Assembly Fabricator/Welders to support their busy and successful team. Great Benefits including:

The team is well-established and high performing, and they are looking for additional Fabricator/Welders to support their growth. The company operates 3 shifts.
  • Early Shift Monday to Friday 6am - 2:15pm + 10% shift allowance
  • Day Shift Monday to Friday 7.30am - 3:45pm
  • Late Shift Monday to Thursday 2:15pm - 00:30am and Midnight on a Thursday + 25% shift allowance
It is 37.5 hours with 15 mins morning break and half hour lunch break. Over time is paid at time and half. Shift Allowances are payable on the first 37.5 hours. There are 3 pay levels depending on experience and a clear development plan to increase your salary. Ranging between £13 and £16 per hour plus shift allowances. Role and Responsibilities: • To determine the parts required for the assembly and perform general inspection of the picked parts (including they are correct to the bill of materials and in good condition) • To ensure the parts are prepared as per instruction on the works orders and drawings for welding/assembly • To carry out MIG and basic TIG • To use hand tools. • To assembly items required following the instructions on the engineering drawing, ranging from building machine sections to small components • To assembly basic pipe work, this includes pneumatic pipework and general pipework • To quality check completed work • To ensure work performed meets the production timescales • To safely move parts, ensuring the appropriate lifting tools and operating the overhead crane • To adhere to the company safe systems of work and appropriate standard operating processes • To flexibly undertake any other duties similar with this level of post, according to the needs of the business Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements: • Level 3 NVQ in the relevant engineering apprenticeship or equivalent • Coded welder ISO standard 9606 (desirable) • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a fabricator (including apprenticeship) • Ability to use hand tools (such as grinders, drills, die grinder, hexsert gun, monobolt gun, hand drill, mag-drill, air tools, stud gun) (training will be given required) • Experience moving and turning large fabrications (desirable) • Understanding of H&S policy, procedures and working safely This is an excellent opportunity for any Fabricator/Welder wanting to be part of this exciting growth.
