Job Description

Senior AccountantThe role

  • A varied portfolio of SME & self employed accounts preparation and personal and company tax.
  • General accountancy related tasks.
  • Management responsibilities.
  • Communicating with clients to request relevant information and discussing business performance, including giving advice on tax in accordance with existing legislation.
The role will primarily involve working directly with clients to complete year end accounts.The candidate will also oversee more junior staff members and delegate some tasks over time.Relaxed and friendly working environment£30k - £38k dependant on experience and skill setProfile / Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with Xero.
  • Must be able to prepare company accounts, company tax, along with basic personal tax returns and self employed accounts. Book-keeping and VAT also required.
  • Must work in practice.
  • Would need to be charteredACCA, ACA or ACMA.
  • Must be able to manage work load and also be able to review work of lower level staff.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both face to face and grammar as role will have client contact.
  • Business development requiredlook to network/win clients and generous commission structure would be setup for this.
  • Would require the staff member to work in office predominately.
  • Would report mainly to the owner of the business.
