Providing sustainable transport solution nationwide in the UK and abroad.Position SummaryThe successful candidate will be assisting the production manager in the running of the project by supervising a team of multi skilled staff and managing KPIs. The project focuses on the overhaul and refresh of Rolling Stock carriages. Furthermore, the candidatewill provide pro-active support in ensuring that the project is at an appropriate level to the requirements of the company, safety and environmental policies. The production team leader will be;* Responsible for the line management of staff * Responsible for ensuring the team understand KPIs and complete targets within allocated completion times as well as responsible for monitoring progress towards these targets* Responsible for identifying potential issues that will affect team performance, and rectify as necessary* Managing tooling, consumables, etc. as agreed with production manager* Responsible for monitoring time keeping of production team* Managing health, safety and the environment of the depot* Fully flexible, 365 days of the year* Allocating work and improving efficiency* Enthusiastic, keen to impress and progressPerson Profile/Experience:It is essential that applicants have relevant engineering experience to be considered.The ideal candidate will have the following experience;* Technical engineering background is essential for this role* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5s, KPIs, etc.)* Computer IT literate/Office 365 Competent * Experience of Health and Safety environments* Experience of Rolling stock is preferred however not essential.Qualifications:A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, whether electrical or mechanically bias is the minimum requirementPLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
