Job Description

Are you a highly motivated team worker committed to helping people with Mental Health problems / Complex NeedsVibrance has an exciting opportunity available for you to join the team as aSenior Support Workerbased inRook Lodge, Ilford. You will join us on aPart-time,permanent basisworking 18.5 hours per week.In return, you will receive a salary of£11,030per annumplusbenefits (£22,059 pro rata).Vibrance provides a range of innovative supported housing and community care services to adults with a learning disability and adults who use mental health services.Staff are involved in supporting the residents in all aspects of their daily life, and because all our residents have different and changing needs, each individual has a care plan.About theSenior Support Workerrole:You will be working in a dynamic service that provides care for people with a range of Mental Health issues, Autism, sensory needs, challenging behaviours and complex healthcare needs.You will also need a good understanding of Microsoft Office & Teams and will be required to work a range of shift patterns.Supervision of staff and service planning will be a part of your role. You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate experience of working with people with Mental Health and a good understanding of supervision, support planning, risk assessments andevaluation of plans.Applicants need to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of empowerment and choice to individuals and their independence.Skills and experience of our idealSenior Support Worker:

  • A caring, patient nature
  • Have comprehensive knowledge and experience supporting adults with Mental Health, Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Developing good practice and supporting the manager, managing the service on a day-to-day basis including rota planning.
  • Supervising, managing, and mentoring members of staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and review support plans and risk assessments.
  • Providing personal care, administering medication and lone working.
  • Oversee H+S Audits.
