Job Description

RE TeacherPAY: £140+ Per Day - DOE Location: IlfordPosition: Full Time/ Term Time To start after Easter An inclusive and supportive Secondary school in Ilford is looking for a RE teacher to start after the easter break. QTS is preferred but strong unqualified teachers with experience will be considered. A degree in RE or a closely related field is essential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons, catering to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters independent thinking, creativity, and active participation.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum and share best practices.
  • Support and guide students in their personal and academic development, providing pastoral care where necessary.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to promote positive partnerships and regular communication.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for the humanities, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the schools ethos and vision.
  • Subject to Enhanced DBS online updated and 2 references
