PAYE /£34.15 Umbrella (All hours)Sunday - £35.60 PAYE / £45.75 Umbrella (All hours)Hours Per Week: 44 hours per week minimumDuration: OngoingStart Date: ASAPCompany SummaryEuropes largest Rolling Stock Producer, maintainer and servicing organisation is looking for Mechanical Experienced Engineers to join a well-established team at a busy rail depot in East LondonPosition Summary: The role is carrying out Mechanical overhaul including stripping and refitting. You will be specifically focused on modifications, interior strip and replace on modern Aventra Stock within a mid-sized heavy maintenance depot. This position is the key focalpoint for the safe and reliable running of the fleet and is a key requirement against the Service Agreement (SA). This is a safety Critical position working on a busy live rail maintenance depot and in this role, you would be expected to complete the following:* Work from written instruction (VMI)* Work from Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements * Removal of interiors and body sides* Rebuilding on the vehicle sides* Refitting, Seats, Grab Rails, Poles etc. * Remove large components such as axle boxes, bogies, valves and couplers* Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings Person Profile:You will be a highly self-motivated individual as training to develop will be given to these individuals. Attitude and enthusiasm are key for this role you should be able to follow detailed instructions as an eye for details is key to this role. Following onthe job competency-based training you will be able to work under your own initiative. Candidates from the following background will be considered:* HGV and PCV Technicians* RAF, REME, Army, Navy* Plant Maintenance * Engineering Services Maintenance * Rail* Plumbers* Shop Fitters* Heavy Mechanical EngineeringIdeal applicants would have had some maintenance/fitting experience of a heavy nature.
