Job Description

We are proud to be working with a reputable and leading Accountancy Practice who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the firm in a new role, working with a key client portfolio.Our client provides a bespoke and personalised Bookkeeping service to their clients, managing all aspects of their accounting and tax needs. The level of service is way above and beyond what would be expected from a standard Accountancy firm, and their service delivery and excellence is truly industry leading.The firm embraces technological change and is at the forefront of new accountancy systems and procedures which further enhance the client experience.As the Client Bookkeeper you will work with a wide range of clients giving you exposure to a variety of industries.In addition to providing a first class Bookkeeping service to your own client base, you will also provide training on systems and work as an interim Finance Manager on occasion, making this one of the most interesting and progressive Bookkeeping roles available on the market !Job responsibilities:Provide ongoing support clients bookkeeping and tax needsConduct bookkeeping and data processing for the Firm’s clientsMaintenance of accounting records using Xero/sage/QuickbooksPurchase/sales ledger managementPreparation of VAT returnsTelephone and/or email contact with clients and requests for informationVisiting client premises to liaise directly with the client bookkeepingPreparation of management accountsMeeting deadlines and dealing with client queries in a timely mannerContinue to develop bookkeeping skills under supervisionSystems roll outs, and training where required.Person Specification:Previous bookkeeping experience is essential, ideally gained from within a reputable firmConfident IT user and previous experience of using Xero, Sage and Microsoft ExcelDemonstrate a "can do" approach to problem solvingRespond well to supervision by senior members of staffExcellent customer service skills including the ability to tailor your approach provided depending on the specific client.Benefits:In return for your hard work and commitment, the firm will invest in your professional development.Professional courses to enable you to further your career.Bi-yearly pay reviewsFlexible working hoursLife insurance.Work from home arrangementsGenerous holiday allowanceTo find our more about this fantastic career opportunity, please apply on line or call Natasha or Heidi at Armstrong Knight to discuss the role and to progress your application.
