Job Description

Our customer focus is based on quality, service and consistency and our service-led ethos is one of the key drivers in the growth of our market share over the past 10 years.As Data Analyst, you will manage and develop standardised commercial reporting across channels, customer sites, regions and branches - providing support to the senior commercial teams to support customer meetings, driving turnover, volume, profitability,insight and performance.Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales and margin reporting on a region, plant, customer and product
  • Provision of ad-hoc commercial reports to support customer visits and help support insight and drive performance improvement.
  • Reconciliation of BI data (Cognos) with GL data across businesses and product groups.
  • Ongoing management of the ODE (Optimal / Desired / Essential) pricing models for both ASMs and Key Account Managers to use in the field
  • Support the forecasting and budgeting process carried out with the commercial teams.
  • Support the assessment and forecasting of PBIT and volume opportunity for new projects and products.
  • Support product profitability modelling at various price and distribution points.
  • Identification of loss making or low margin customers and supporting the implementation and monitoring of margin improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
  • Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Customer reporting insight
  • Excellent commercial acumen, takes time to understand the business objectives
  • Matrix management experience and experience of working with both financial and non-financial colleagues
  • Prioritise and manage workload, whilst working to tight deadlines (particularly for ad-hoc requests).
  • Self-starter and can do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and Communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Analytical working with large volumes of data from multiple systems/sources
