Job Description

Building and Construction Recruitment are seeking a Supply Chain Assistant for an independent supplier of construction products based in Huntingdon.Basic Salary: up to £25,000Key Responsibilities of a Supply Chain Assistant:

  • To ensure correct stock levels are kept at all company depots
  • Operate and amend order system to raise purchase orders in good time
  • Continually monitor usage and stock levels
  • Update and maintain system price lists
  • Monitoring delivery schedules, leasing with the goods in team and chasing late deliveries
  • Foster close working relationships with Suppliers, Sales, Accounts and Warehouse teams
  • Keep sales team up to date on costings and changes
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in supply chain/inventory/merchandising
  • Experience of building industry would be extremely advantageous
  • Previous experience managing long lead time and international imports very desirable
