Job Description

Dayam is recruiting for a prestige children’s organisation who are now looking to expand their Support work team located around Huntingdon.This role focuses on the importance of developing relationships with vulnerable children and young people whilst supporting them through their day to day activities.As a residential Support Worker, you will be working as part of a team to safeguard children and supply them with the confidence and guidance to thrive in social environments whilst also finding ways to improve their ability to perform tasks themselves. This is a real opportunity for anyone looking for a rewarding career.Key Duties and Skills

  • Reporting directly to the Deputy and Registered Manger of the Children’s Home.
  • Providing considerate care and support to the children within the care home.
  • Displaying a safe atmosphere through safeguarding from abuse, neglect, and harm to allow them to be positive throughout their day to day life.
  • Ensuring that you are professional throughout your shift, whilst organising children’s activities, attending children reviews, appointments and meetings when required.
  • Delivering clear communication, reporting, and recording safeguarding concerns, updating records, adhering to policies and procedures and create positive community relationships.
  • Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 months care experience with children (preferred)
  • NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Shift PatternThis role requires multiple candidates to split 24-hour shifts, 7 days a week (Days and Nights). Contact us for further information.Benefits
