Laboratory Supervisor £Negotiable plus benefits Working for a large manufacturing company in the Huntingdonshire area, your role is pivotal to the quality and performance of their products. The Laboratory Supervisor is running a small team, with the main objectives duties as follows:To successfully develop the product, concepts and alternative raw materials through line trials for commercial gainQuality plans and schedules carried out to prescribed deadlines and to required standardAssist in the co-ordination of production trials as required to correct specificationsCollate quality control data on a daily / weekly / monthly / yearly basisImplement improvement suggestions when and where necessary, either through impromptu suggestion, new additional learning or reaction to dataCo-ordinate and manage complaints regarding specification and quality of materialsMaintain high standard of training for all quality and laboratory activities through SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) Continued training and on the job training to ensure skills are kept up to date and relevantAttend and contribute to Production MeetingsEnsure that effective implementation of the company Health & Safety policy is maintained and that all legislation pertaining to safety, COSHH, SHE and environmental Policies and regulations are complied with. Adhere to ISO9001 / ISO14001 Environmental standardsRisk assessments understood and stringently adhered toExcellent housekeeping standards at all times and adhere to the 5s MethodologyEffective and timely communication with line manager and any other department to ensure minimal time loss on daily issues should they arisePro-active thinking to identify learning opportunities throughout siteCompletion of documentation in a detailed and accurate mannerReport and justify data directly to Site ManagerFantastic working environment, All management have an open door policy, friendly, all staffed highly valued.
