Job Description

Our client who is based in Alconbury Weald - Huntingdon is urgently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner - who has experience in a similar role within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment with a minimum of level 4 CIPD to join their dynamic team.Skills and Experience: Experience in a similar role within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment. IT Literate - High level of IT literacy with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint Employment law knowledge and understandingQualifications CIPD Certificate in HR Practice or working towards a CIPD generalist qualification level 4 or abovePurpose of the roleTo work as part of the HR team to provide a professional, high quality, timely, customer focused partnering HR service to key stakeholders and customers across the areas of: Employee engagement and communication People management and discipline Employee relations i.e. supporting grievance investigations Discipline and performance management Employee data management Health surveillance and monitoring Coaching and supporting middle management to deliver the HR agenda Training Delivering value and pro-actively challenging the status quoCore Business ResponsibilitiesAdministration Supporting the co-ordination of value added activity of the shared service HUB and recruitment team Maintaining employee records when required KPI analysis using the prepared HR report on a weekly basis inc preparing documents of statistical format To drive projects assigned by the HOHR ensuring standards across the businesses Ensure HR records are up to date and audit ready Support the processing of starters and leavers - ensuring all company HR/Payroll procedures have been followed for new starters and leavers. Conducting inductions for new employees as and when required, frequently weekly Ensuring all administration, documentation relating to employee changes, new starters and leavers are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • To assist in recruitment and selection, developing job descriptions in liaison with departmental managers.
Delivering induction on a weekly basis and sometimes writing bespoke inductions for key recruits Pro-active part in the new starter review process Communication To take ownership of any query and/or issues raised seeing it through to resolution Provide accurate and timely guidance and advice to the key stakeholders, ensuring it is in line with the Company policies and procedures. Ensure high levels of confidentiality and communication are maintained with client stakeholders Support the arrangement of briefs and information cascades Developing HR policies Ensuring that Company policies are adhered to and contribute to the on-going review and improvement of HR policies and operational processes ensuring the delivery of a customer focused, added value service. Providing Advice / Coaching To provide day to day advisory service on employee relation issues and employment law ensuring a blend of pragmatism and best HR practice and coach line managers as appropriate, feeding back to Senior Managers where appropriate To provide an advisory service to employees on HR issues in line with the company policies and procedures To provide advice on potential changes in terms and conditions, working hours and potential redundancy issues Coached the HR Co-Ordinator as and when required Provide coaching tips and guidance to managers on how to manage on all aspects of performance and conduct within their teams in accordance with Company policy and procedure. Cross functional work Work in collaboration with the other HR Team to ensure effective delivery of all projects and tasks. Develop relationships at all levels being responsive to their daily needs ensuring we maintain a high level of service as a department. Be seen as a true HR business partner in the factory, attend go see appointments in the factory to make suggestions and improvements Has a pro-active approach to workload highlighting areas to be addressed Looks and plans ahead 3-6m minimum Knows what good looks like and aspires to meet this standard Present KPIs at the weekly operational meeting focusing attention on hot-spot areas Other Projects Oversee the Health Surveillance programme in conjunction with the H&S department ensuring that the business needs are met / adhered to. Support the wellbeing day programme by arranging events on and off site Other project work support as necessaryAttributes Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and speed To maintain confidentiality in all matters, adhering to Data Protection legislation at all times. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage change Strong communication skills and effective listener High level of confidentiality when dealing with personnel related correspondence Proactive and completer finisher.
