Job Description

Web DeveloperSalary: up to £25,000 DOELocation: Commutable from Hull, Hessle, Brough, Elloughton, Willerby, CottinghamHours: Full-time, flexible working patternsGrafton Recruitment are delighted to be collaborating with a business-leading software development company based in the outskirts of Hull, for a Web Developer to join their growing, creative development team. The position itself offers an opportunity tomake personal and valuable contributions to both customers and the team, in a role that presents true working flexibility and opportunities for further career progression to the successful candidate.The duties of the Web Developer role includes:

  • Building new customer websites
  • Upgrading current sites in the short to medium term
  • Supporting core software which is written in VB.NET Web Forms, T-SQL with SOAP XML Web Services
  • Supporting a new project of rewriting software in MVC or similar and C#
  • Bringing your skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Technology Stack to meet customer needs
You will need:
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
  • An interest in front-end design and back-end design skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Be a problem-solver
  • Well organised and comfortable working to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the following software: JavaScript / jQuery, CSS, HTML, MSSQL / SQL, and VB.NET / C#.NET
  • Knowledge of the following software is desirable: Kendo UI, LINQ / XPath, Affinity Photo / Adobe Photoshop, W3C Standards / WCAG, Microsoft SQL Server, SOAP Web Services, Visual Studio, and DevOps
