Title: Transport Planner Salary: £Competitive Location: HullOVERVIEW:Edwards and Pearce are looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to join a market leading bulk Logistics Service Provider. The company are incredibly customer focused with both quality of operations and safety at the heart of everything they do. Asa transport Planner, you will be at the centre of operations, working in a fast paced team that deal with the daily challenges of logistics planning. THE ROLE: The key duties of the role include:Initialising both creative and cost-effective transport resolutions. Arranging additional resource or alternative options to effectively cover operational procedures. Ensuring all collections and deliveries are on time to meet customer requirements fully. Monitoring payloads to ensure targets are being met. Working closely with the Procurement team, in order to provide the most effective haulage resource for service delivery. Understanding of haulier earning requirements to ensure mutual productivity. Ensuring supplier invoices and queries are resolved within 7 days of receipt. THE CANDIDATE:The successful candidate will have: 2 years experience in road haulage planning experience.Ability to meet customer requirements whilst working under pressure. Excellent communication skills. A high sense of responsibility.Effectively organise workloads throughout the day to maximise efficiency.Ability to work in a changing environment and work reactively where needed.
