Job Description

IPL operates in a fast paced and dynamic environment and has significant growth plans, acquiring four businesses withinthe past year.The Technical Team are looking to fill the role of TPM Technician in their Hull facility. The responsibilities of the Technician to work in support of a planned maintenance strategy. Undertaking work of a predictive, preventive and repair nature, whilst adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures. Workingeffectively to meet the set KPIs for safety, quality, and productivity. Actively contributing to the effective running of the maintenance department.IPL Hull was built in the millennium year and there are employees working today who witnessed the first brick being laid! Our Hull location is an experienced leader in the injection and blow moulding industry housing state of the art blow moulding machinesand a modern fleet of injection moulding machines. IPL Hull takes initiative on providing eco-friendly solutions and pride themselves on delivering products specifically tailored to their customers needs. Key products include the "One Nest" stacking crate,jerry cans, Water Butt, composter, kerbside boxes, food waste containers and nestable bale arm trays.Position Title: TPM TechnicianLocation: HullWhat you will bring to the role: A reliable, dependable candidate who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.Essential experience and skills:Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all to all organisational health and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to the ethical policies and codes of conduct of IPL when working with internal and external partners.
  • Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to all organisational operating systems.
  • Be proactive in the raising of potential health and safety issues and the development of personal safety awareness.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Actively seek out opportunities for improvement in both plant and work processes.
  • Assists the Maintenance Team Leader in implementing, training, and managing a world class planned preventative maintenance program tailored to the organisation’s needs.
  • Assists the Maintenance Team Leader in writing work instructions or standard maintenance procedures regarding planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform planned maintenance tasks as scheduled and report results.
  • Effectively manage assigned focus area within the plant including the management of critical spare stock levels within assigned focus area.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling preventative maintenance tasks within the computerised maintenance system and responsible for generating follow up work based on the results of root cause analysis findings
  • Effective management and support of specialist contractors.
  • Communicate in a positive, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that adequate tools are available to do the job.
  • Training other members of staff to ensure skills are transferred across all operations.
  • Willingly engage with personal and professional development initiatives including the attendance on training courses.
  • Must use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position as indicated on the Job Assessment for PPE.
Person Specification:
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems desired.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, comfortable interacting with all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills whilst being able to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent self-motivation, organisational and time management skills.
  • Competent in reading, interpreting, and developing a range of functional documents.
