Job Description

We support adults in various settings such as residential, nursing, support and clinical facilities with daily tasks such as personal cares, companionship, and other complex needs. We are seeking individuals who want to join ourfantastic team and continue to represent Atrium Healthcare to the highest of standards and deliver person centred care and support to all service users. As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility is to aid and support to individuals dealing with Learning differences and mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote the well-being, independence, and recoveryof clients. This role requires empathy, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health issues. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all service users and expect all staff to share this commitment The Key Responsibilities of the job role:·Provide one-to-one support and supervision to individuals.·Aid all services users in need of assistance·Promoting independence to residents with day-to-day decisions (clothing, bathing, choices of food etc)·Work collaboratively with other staff members and professionals.·Maintain accurate records and documentation of interventions and outcomes.·Provide emotional support and practical assistance to individuals to help them achieve their goals and aspirations·Work closely in a holistic approach to care·Establish trusting relationships with clients and their families.·Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals requiring support.·Advocate for clients needs and rights within the community and healthcare system.·Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support to individuals in distress.·Implement crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.·Coordinate with emergency services when required.·Support clients in engaging with community resources and activities-cinema, appointments etc.The successful candidate will have:·Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills·A passion to support and care for other·A drive to learn and develop·Flexibility to work·A minimum of 3 months UK care experience·The right to work in the UK·Commitment to providing high-quality care and support.·Ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously·Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations·Provide a supportive and structured environment that promotes positive change.·A sense of humour and the ability to bring a smile to the service users face·A can-do attitude·Excellent timekeeping skills·Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental approach to working with individuals with mental health challenges.In return the company will offer you:·Free fully comprehensive training and development support·Ongoing training opportunities·Working with a fantastic team of friendly, supportive, like-minded individuals·Weekly Pay·Flexible working pattern·Friendly on call team, 24/7·Pension scheme·Free uniform·Access to all permanent vacanciesAs an agency staff member, you will have the flexibility with working hours whilst also benefiting from competitive rates of pay and opportunities for ongoing training.
