Job Description

Support Worker |Hull | temp (ongoing) | £11.68 per hourRocasa Consulting is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker. The successful candidate will join the team of a fast-paced homeless hostel in Hull, dedicated to vulnerable adults with a history of homelessness, substance misuse,etc.No homelessness experience is require. Good customer service and admin skills are essential, along with some experience in working with vulnerable people.DetailsLocation: HullPay rate: £11.68 per hour PAYE including holiday pay or £13.40 umbrellaWorking pattern: mix of early (approximately 7:00-15:00), late (approximately 14:00-22:00) and night (approximately 21:00 - 7:30) shifts based on a rolling rota.Contract length: temporary ongoing, ad hoc shiftsAbout the organisation:Housing association with a portfolio of over 75,000 affordable residential and retirement homes across the UK. Their work ranges from homelessness services to social care, employment support and retirement living.Key duties:

  • You will be key in the day-to-day running of Hull supported housing service. No need to provide personal care. The priority in your role includes the safety and well-being of customers.
  • Youll support customers in conversations with calls from their GP, Social Services, or Benefits teams.
  • Youll be dealing with the emergency services including the Police and Ambulance, when the need arises.
  • You’ll log all incidents to make sure we have an accurate record of events. And when a customer leaves, you will clean and prepare their room, ready for the next occupant.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with people in a customer facing environment
  • Some experience in supporting vulnerable people
  • Good admin and IT skills
