Make a positive change – work for The Alcohol & Drug ServiceWe are looking for aSubstance Misuse Education & Liaison Workerbased in Hull City Centre.This is a permanent, full time vacancy that will close in 22 days at 12:00 BST.The VacancyThe Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) are a registered charity who have been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 35 years.East Riding Partnership (ERP)– is a partnership between ADS and Humber Teaching NHS trust. It has three hubs, Hull, Bridlington and Goole. It is multi-disciplinary team led by a consultant and provides treatment services in the community.The services include aftercare, young people, community rehabilitation programme, a specialist supporting image and performing enhancing drugs/steroids and a team supporting service users and cares through a team of volunteers and peer mentors.It is a very exciting time to be working in the drug and alcohol field, with significant new career opportunities being created.An opportunity has arisen to work with our East Riding Young Peoples Service to support young people who may be experiencing substance misuse problems or individuals who may be concerned about any loved ones who are using substances. Ideally you will haveexperience of working with young people and/or an interest and understanding of substance misuse and the risks/harms associated with this.The role will involve providing small workshops to schools and other educational establishments as well as full school assemblies. You may also attend visits with other members of the team to provide interventions to young people on the caseload around education/informationrelating to substance use.If you have relevant experience in the substance misuse field, a L3 Substance Misuse qualification or equivalent we would like to hear from you.If you are experienced by working in the field but do not have the formal qualifications, we provide a comprehensive package of accredited qualifications and for newly qualified Social Workers we support the ASYE programme.NOTE: We are unable to support sponsorship visas.Salary & Benefits:In return, ADS are offering:
