5- 19 Public Health Nursing Service SCPHNx1 Full Time Permanent Postx1 Full Time, Fixed Term Post for 12 MonthsAn opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse / Health Visitor) to join our dynamic and forward thinking Specialist public health nursing – school nursing - team as a caseload holder.This skill mixed team is responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme and targeted interventions as part of a holistic approach to meet the needs of school aged children, young people and their families.This includes those who are not in mainstream education, home schooled, young people who are NEETS or apprentices and those who may lack traditional access routes to healthcare, as well as providing a service to those young people with SEND requirements.A Public Health Degree/Post graduate Diploma (School Nursing/Health Visiting) is essential alongside a genuine desire and passion to work with children and young people in education provisions as well as in the community, to overcome current and future obstacles in order to improve health outcomes & wellbeing.
