Job Description

  • Act as Deputy for Site Manager as required
  • Ensure that the site Operations are managed effectively in accordance with Customer specifications
  • Ensure the Operations department has an appropriate structure to be responsive and act with pace to site & customer operational issues on a 24/7 basis
  • Represent the site operations effectively to the site Customers
  • Provide and deliver Health and Safety leadership.
  • Ensure that the site operations meet & exceed all health & safety requirements
  • Integrate fully with the Engineering & Quality teams
  • Ensure the training and development needs of the operations department, are continually developed upskilling as required in order to support the needs of the business.
  • Continually review and manage all operational costs
  • Ensure that site operations satisfy all legislative compliance
  • Ensure a culture and mechanism for continual improvement to meet the contractual and changing requirements of the Customers
  • Ensure operations are executed within the Financial budget and deviations are adequately understood, controlled and represented.
    • Profile
  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background.
  • A minimum of 3+ years Logistics management experience (ideally as a Site Operations Manager).
  • Have managed in excess of 80+ staff previously.
  • Experience within an 3PL / FMCG / Food environment - Advantageous
  • IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications - Advantageous.
  • Have experience of LEAN methodologies.
  • Experience on managing budgets up to £1M per year.
  • Have a proven track record of achieving in fast paced, high pressured operations.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be commercially minded and results driven.

  • Basic salary of £45,000 - £48,000
