We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, Foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespokeproducts.About the roleAAK are seeking to appoint a Site Maintenance Manager to lead the site maintenance team, reporting into the Site Director, this role will be a member of the Senior Management Team at Hull. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the maintenancestrategy for the AAK Hull site and offsite storage (AAK KeyStore), to improve plant availability in a cost-effective manner. This includes plant shutdown planning and control, whilst ensuring compliance to QHSE.Main responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively set, prioritise and deliver the site maintenance and reliability strategy, taking into consideration - data collection, criticality assessments, FMEA, predictive and preventative maintenance, planning, scheduling
  • Review spares parts system
  • Ensure a safe place of work through the application of safety policy and procedures.
  • Effectively manage, develop and coach a team of engineering professionals to ensure site performance.
  • Work in close partnership with the site management team to identify, resolve and communicate issues impacting on production, Health & Safety and Quality.
  • Drive to zero breakdowns through leading the asset management and maintenance/reliability strategy programme.
  • Responsible for capital investment and the effective management of the Sites Maintenance budget.
  • Plan & manage plant shutdown engineering works.
  • Effectively manage the team to deliver KPI targets.
  • Calibration and testing of critical equipment.
  • DSEAR compliance.
About youThis role calls for a resilient leader who has a proven track record of driving change through strong leadership skills and experience of building and implementing world class maintenance within a manufacturing environment.The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience.
  • Degree qualified/ HND in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Working knowledge of world class Maintenance Management and Reliability and techniques
  • Previous food manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Excellent mindset towards safety - IOSH Managing safely (NEBOSH ideal, but not essential
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma techniques would be advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Proven leadership and coaching capabilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamworking, interpersonal, and communication skills
