Job Description

VAC:293Site Chemist - Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Salary: £25,000- £30,000 basic depending on experience and bonus scheme.Start Date: ASAPLocation: HullLWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of an established hazardous waste recycling and reuse business.RoleTo supervise the daily on-site waste transfer operations including pre-acceptance, acceptance and onward transfer.Responsibilities:

  • As the sites operational chemist your role will be to offer technical support and management of the site operators ensuring processes are being carried out safely and compliantly.
  • Support the Site Manager managing a hazardous waste site, covering treatment, transfer, recycling, reuse and disposal of waste.
  • Maintain records as required to ensure
  • Ensure all activities and processes are documented
  • Perform pre-acceptance analysis on proposed new wastes to ensure permit complianc
  • Ensure all rejection/ non-conformances are communicated/recorded and managed in accordance with company procedure
  • Ensuring all relevant site documentation is completed correctly.
    • Skills, experience and attributes:
  • Must have COTC level 4s Haz Waste Treatment and Transfer - WAMITAB Level 4 (4TMH or 4TSH)
  • NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely (or higher)
  • Chemist qualification minimum requirement
  • Waste site experience min 2 years
