Senior Building SurveyorSalary: £45,000 - £50,000Location: HullJob Summary:We are in search of a seasoned and highly proficient Senior Building Surveyor to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing top-tier building surveying services. As a Senior Building Surveyor, your responsibilities will include leading and overseeingprojects, offering expert guidance to junior surveyors, and closely collaborating with clients to ensure successful project outcomes. You will have the chance to engage in a diverse range of projects, leveraging your technical know-how, problem-solving skills,and exceptional interpersonal abilities.Primary Duties:* Take charge of building surveying projects from their initiation to completion, ensuring they are executed within the established budget and timeline.* Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of buildings, identifying any defects, and presenting detailed reports to clients. * Provide expert advice on building regulations, planning permissions, and compliance with relevant industry standards. * Offer mentorship and support to junior surveyors, nurturing their professional growth.* Establish effective communication with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships. * Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, and incorporate them into project execution when applicable.Qualifications and Experience:* A Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Building Surveying or a related field. * A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience post-qualification in building surveying, with a proven track record of successful project management. * Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred. * Demonstrated expertise in building pathology, defect diagnosis, and building regulations. * Profound knowledge of construction methodologies and materials. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. * Outstanding leadership and teamwork skills, with a passion for mentoring and guiding junior staff.Benefits:* A competitive salary package that aligns with your experience and qualifications. * Opportunities for career progression and professional growth. * Work within a supportive and collaborative environment that places a high value on employee well-being. * Access to cutting-edge technologies to enhance your work, such as 3D scanning and design in Revit.
