Job Description

Job Title: SEND Teaching AssistantLocation: HullSalary: £310 - £350 per week.Benefits:

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Hull: reliably commute (required)
Experience:
  • Teaching Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant at a school in Hull. As a member of the team you will play a key role in ensuring that students receive the support and guidance they need to succeed.This is a term time only role, and you will work from 08:30 until 15:30 on a full time basis. Pay for the role is between £76 and £85 per day.Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking the daily supervision and teaching of students in school
  • Creating personalised timetables for students
  • Ensuring students continue to have access to the curriculum during their placement
  • Liaising with Headteacher/SLT to ensure students have access to suitable resources
  • Providing behavioural and emotional support for students
  • Liaising with the SENDCO to ensure that students are receiving additional learning support during their placement
  • Tracking and monitoring the progress of students
  • Developing positive relationships with the students based on mutual respect
  • Consistently implementing the schools positive behaviour system
  • Working effectively within a team, supporting colleagues and not being afraid to ask for support
  • Taking responsibility for your own professional development including attending relevant CPD events and identifying personal developmental targets
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the Trust and with other schools to share examples of best practice
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in the education sector.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with SEND.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective personalised timetables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
