Project / Technical AdministratorSalary: £23,000 DOELocation: HullThis is a new and specialist position for an experienced Technical Administrator to support an established team. You will be working in a fast-moving niche sector that specialises in a range of technologies, including AV, IT, communications, and security. As a Technical Project Support Administrator, you will be supporting internal project managers who will be dealing with key clients and overseeing projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for assisting the team which will require diligent taskmanagement and working to deadlines.This is an excellent opportunity for a person who has previous experience working in an engineering and / or project related role.THE ROLE:Supporting the project team with the documenting and tracking of project work and tasksAssisting with the report writing and formatting, ensuring delivery in accurate and timely mannerCommunicating technical concepts in a non-technical and easy to understand language format.Minuting meetings as and when required, for internal and client facing meetings.Creation of documentation and basic CAD drawingsThis is a full-time position being primarily office based, with occasional travel around Europe for research purposes and onsite project supportThe role will provide an excellent learning opportunity for how the company and industry operates. This will also give chance for job progression into a technology based role.THE CANDIDATE:Previous experience dealing with projects, in an administrative and / or technical support environment is desirable but not-essential.Strong administrative skills, including good verbal and written communication and the ability to support internal teams are essential.Excellent planning and organisational based skillsAutoCAD and Adobe Suite experience would be desirable, AutoCAD training can be given to assist with projects.Good problem-solving skills and the ability to ask questions.Flexibility to take on new challenges and tasks is essential.Industry experience in an engineering industry or similar would be an advantageYour own transport is needed due to some external travel.THE CONSULTANCY:Edwards & Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
