Job Description

Print Production ManagerLocation: HullSalary: DOECompany: A global packaging agency.Role: Liaising with the clients and printers, providing internal instruction to modify artwork so that the final print will meet (as close as possible) the original design intent, across multiple packaging types and print processes.

  • Assess new designs, liaising with the client, printer and tooling supplier to agree artwork changes/separation approach, based on the chosen print process.
  • Provide Artworkers with technical instructions on artwork separation
  • Support and develop Artworkers to apply reprographics/colour separation
  • Train and support new and junior members of the team
  • Specify tooling requirements (where required)
  • Maintain client brand targets and colour standards
  • Maintain printer specification records and printer qualification
  • Maintain technical records
  • Provide post-print analysis (both measured and visual)
  • Work in conjunction with all other areas of the business to ensure that artwork is generated in the most effective and timely manner possible
Requirements:
  • Experience in a packaging graphics/repro/studio environment
  • Experince working in a similar print production manager role
  • Experience & solid knowledge of flexographic, lithographic and digital print
  • Confident managing a team
  • Vast print knowledge and interest in future technologies
  • High level of customer service / client skills
  • Thorough knowledge of managing artwork and repro processes for packaging
  • Solid experience of working with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office & Teams
  • GMG, ESKO, X-Rite, ColorCert
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Team player
