Job Description

Operations Manager - PackagingLocation: HullSalary: DOECompany: A leading packaging and graphics company.Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a global leading business in Hull.As part of an Operations Management team, you will support the Senior Operations Manager to implement Global Strategic and Regional objectives.

  • Manage the day-to-day business operations, continuously striving to ensure our people meet and exceed contractual key performance indicators in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • You will help promote a culture and environment .
  • You will thrive on developing our people and genuinely care about them and their well-being.
  • Ensure the delivery of key business requirements:
    • - Excellent customer service- Right First Time Quality- On Time Delivery- Profitability- Productivity- WIP & Debt movement
  • Assessment of profitability metrics and focus on driving improvement
  • Implement suitable productivity measures & monitor performance
  • Conduct resource planning assessments to review short-term and long-term resource requirements and when necessary make recommendations for recruitment
  • Support the global operation teams with the sharing of resource when necessary
  • You will collaborate with our Global and Regional Business Development Team in Customer Review meetings review
    • Requirements:
  • Experience working within a packaging / print company
  • Experience in implementing business processes that deliver significant service level improvements and operational efficiencies to key stakeholders
  • Experience of successfully leading, managing and motivating others to achieve results
  • Proven experience of operations or project management in a complex organisation
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills who is able to collaborate effectively across regions/teams/departments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Significant experience of resource management and delivery of return of investment objectives
  • A strong customer focus and commitment to service delivery
  • Outstanding communication skills, highly developed analytical skills, and the ability to delegate
