Job Description

Operations Manager - PackagingLocation: HullSalary: DOECompany: A digitally focused graphics company who continuously strive to be at the forefront of the packaging industry.Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a leading business in Hull.The Operations Managers role is to work as part of a team and to manage a multi-disciplined team of people who are providing a high-level of service to customers.

  • As part of an Operations Management team, you will support the Senior Operations Manager to implement Global Strategic and Regional objectives.
  • You will help promote a culture and environment where our people love to work, an environment with highly committed and high performing individuals through engaging communication, motivational and inspirational leadership, empowerment, people development,performance management, supported by reward, recognition and Global progression opportunities. You will thrive on developing our people and genuinely care about them and their well-being.
  • Manage the day-to-day business operations, continuously striving to ensure our people meet and exceed contractual key performance indicators in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Assessment of profitability metrics and focus on driving improvement
  • Implement suitable productivity measures & monitor performance
  • Conduct resource planning assessments to review short-term and long-term resource requirements and when necessary make recommendations for recruitment
  • Support the global operation teams with the sharing of resource when necessary
  • You will collaborate with our Global and Regional Business Development Team in Customer Review meetings review
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an operations manager role
  • Experience within the print and/or packaging industry
  • Experience implementing business processess and operational efficiencies
  • You will thrive in a target-driven environment and will have experience of successfully leading, managing and motivating others to achieve results
  • Experience of operations or project management in a complex organisation
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills who is able to collaborate effectively across regions/teams/departments
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Significant experience of resource management and delivery of return of investment objectives is essential
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to service delivery
  • Outstanding communication skills, highly developed analytical skills, and the ability to delegate and maintain oversight of delivery
  • You will thrive on a fast-paced working environment
