Job Description

Grafton Recruitment are currently working on behalf of an established food manufacturing company seeking a permanent Night Shift Engineer. Joining an existing engineering team engineers, the company work with chilled and frozen food products, based in Hull. The role will involve reactive and planned maintenance of fast-paced production lines, whilst maintaining process equipment and planned service procedures. This role would suit an electrcial biased engineer, with existing FMCG/Food exposure.Night Shift Engineer Job Details:

  • Type: Permanent
  • Location: Hull
  • Shifts: Nights 10pm-6am, Sunday to Thursday
  • Salary: £17.26 per hour (£35,900 per annum)
    • Night Shift Engineer Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining process equipment, planned service procedures and preventative maintenance reporting
  • Working both individually and with a team to efficiently maintain food production lines
  • Working under pressure as a sole point of contact at times within the night shift
  • Take ownership of equipment and ensure that it is maintained to an appropriate standard
  • Minor maintenance refrigeration works, air compressors and washdown systems
  • Undertake project work and effectively work with your team towards continuous improvement
    • Night Shift Engineer Person Specification:
  • FMCG industry experience ideally within Food, however, other FMCG industries considered
  • Approved engineering apprenticeship or equivalent/NVQ level 3 or higher
  • Electrical bias, 18th edition electrical qualification, is preferred
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Knowledge and experience of computerised maintenance management systems (ideally Pirana)
