Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are currently working with a choice employer in the Hull area in their search for a Mechanical Technician. It is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical technician to work as part of a wider maintenance team in the delivery of all fault diagnostics; upgrade of equipment and delivery and execution of the sites maintenance strategy.This Mechanical Technicians Duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:-Responsible for all aspects of mechanical maintenance incl. planned and reactive-Implement procedures and risk control for the control of major hazards-Maintain system drawings, documents, and modifications for improvement-Liaise with all areas of the business and suppliers-Conduct regular risk assessments to support the control of any abnormal situations and emergencies-Comply with all aspects of major accident prevention policies-Operate with a safety first approach and report all health, safety and environmental accidents and incidents promptlyThis is an excellent opportunity and one which will suit someone that meets the following skills and experience:-You will have a HNC in Maintenance & Engineering with hands on experience working within a milling process-ONC / HNC educated in Maintenance & Engineering-Apprentice trained Level 3 or equivalent-GNVQ Level 2 in access operations & rigging or equivalent-IOSH / NEBOSH Required-IPAF Licence-FLT Licence-Demonstrable experience working in a proactive, condition based engineering and maintenance large scale industrial or manufacturing environment-Appreciation for Safety critical working environment and instruments-Experienced in risk assessment techniques and health & safety-Knowledge of issuing and receiving permits of workHours of work are fixed but an element of flexibility will be required to cover one in six weeks covering the late shift:-Monday to Friday 07:30 - 15:30-Late shift (Required 1 in 6 weeks) 15:30 - 07:30If this role is of interest, you have demonstrable skills and live within an hours commute of the site we would love to hear from you, please send in your CV today and a member of the team will make further contact.
