SAAF Education are working with a local College who are looking for a mechanical and electrical surveyor to work with them.The candidate requirements are as follows -Key Areas of Responsibility - • Organisational skills and an eye for detail• Willingness to work outside in all conditions• Interest in and firm knowledge of all mechanical/electrical systems/equipment (including Gas services/Refrigerant systems/Ventilation and extraction/Lifts/Fire alarm and detection/Emergency lighting/Boiler/heating systems) in the built environment, including all statutory compliance regulations and health and safety legislation• Identify and prepare risk assessments to address relevant Health and Safety issues relating to all mechanical/electrical aspects of the College provided and undertake the duties of a designer as defined within the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.• Relationship-building skills and a strong understanding of good customer service• IT skills, including knowledge of industry-specific software• Be analytically minded, with strong problem-solving skills• Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral• Excellent project and time management skills• Teamworking skills• A full driving licence is needed• DBS Up to-date and available.Key skills• Advising Hull College on schemes and projects and determine requirements• Undertaking mechanical/electrical/ventilation system surveys.• Writing technical reports• Planning and overseeing building mechanical/electrical work on small projects to be delivered in-house• Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams• Prepare scheme mechanical and electrical designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works• Determine the condition of existing buildings mechanical and electrical systems, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair• Advise on the management and supervision of approved projects• Carry out feasibility studies• Instruct on construction design and management regulations• Assess and design buildings to meet the needs of people with disabilities• Deal with planning applications and advise on property legislation and building regulations• Ensure projects are completed on budget and to scheduleif this mechanical and electrical engineering role is of interest, please get in touch as soon as possible.
