Job Description

Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently representing an opportunity on behalf of our established client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider. They are currently seeking a Materials Controller for their Hull office. With a competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 strategic locations,they uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality.As a Materials Controller, you will be at the heart of the companys engineering activities. Your role will involve managing the supply and storage of materials, tools, consumables, and hired plant. You will maintain registers of material stock and transit,arrange inspections of company-owned and hired equipment, and set stock levels for consumables, tools, and safety equipment. Your proactive approach will be essential in procuring materials and consumables as required, and you will utilise the clients CMMS(SAP) for the electronic management of materials.Your organisational skills will be put to good use as you direct the activities involved in the control of materials. You will ensure safety requirements are in place and followed and maintain storage areas in an orderly and safe condition.To excel in this role, you will need experience in material controlling within the Process, Oil & Gas, Plant or Power Generation industries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with a proactive and flexible work approach. ITproficiency (Microsoft Office package and SAP) is required.
