Management AccountantSalary: £32,000 - £35,000Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays + study assistance to finish examsLocation: HullAre you an accountant with a foodie background I am recruiting a Management Accountant for a client of mine in the food manufacturing sector to work alongside the Financial Controller. Candidates should be a minimum of AAT qualified/qualified by experience/partqualified or a newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant.THE ROLE: The role will provide assistance and support to the Financial Controller in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Duties will include producing weekly P&L reports, daily labour variance reports, processing bank payments and reconciliations, VAT returns, as well as providing cover for the Financial Controller and payroll cover when necessary.The position requires working collaboratively with not only the Financial Controller but also the commercial department, the manufacturing team and maintaining strong relationships with the external bankers, auditors and financial advisors. THE CANDIDATE:Ideally you will have come from a food manufacturing background, however experience of working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment is essential.Communicating effectively across a business comes naturally to you due to having a confident personality. You are articulate and have the ability to relay financial information to non-finance colleagues. A love of working in manufacturing and being a part ofthe process that sees a product start life on the production line, all the way through to completion and shipping is a distinct advantage.You will have high levels of accuracy and are able to work to deadlines, some of which can be tight!A minimum of AAT qualification is required for this role.
