Job Description

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTPOSITION: Management AccountantLOCATION: HullSALARY: £40,000 + Healthcare + Bonus and Generous HolidaysTHE ROLE: Our client are looking for a Management Accountant to join their busy accounts team on a full time basis. As a Management Accountant, you will be providing day to day financial support within the financial reporting team.The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts as well as the day-to-day management of the reporting team. You will be working Monday-Friday 40 hours a week with flexible working.DUTIES:

  • Production of monthly management accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Analysis of monthly costs
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Preparation of Divisional Accounts
  • Supporting the production of annual financial statements and provision of information for audit
  • Preparation, review, and submission of Quarterly VAT return
  • Maintenance of internal systems and controls
  • Assisting in the preparation of Cash Flow forecast
  • Preparation of data for external stakeholders
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
  • Driven and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a busy and fast paced entrepreneur driven environment.
  • Ability to manage workload to recognise the changing needs / priorities of the business.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point skills
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) would be preferred although consideration will be given to the right candidate
  • Knowledge of VAT reporting requirements
