Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT MANAGERIdeally based in M62 Corridor (NW or Humberside) with hybrid working - Salary c£40k + benefits About the role:The new role of IT Manager reports into the Group CFO and is responsible for the management of all IT systems, processes and services across BIG. As the only permanent IT role in the business, this role will coordinate and manage the IT services providedby 3rd party Managed Service Providers (MSP), closely working in partnership with them, to ensure the best possible IT Service, technology stack, information security and Return of Investment (ROI) from IT. The IT Manager will act as an SME to the businessin all IT and Information Security matters.The job holder needs to understand business requirements, ensure that technology within the business meets the needs of the business, and be customer focused. They need to be hands on technologists, with a lot of energy, drive and a desire to modernize technologyand improve the IT service. They must be methodical, organized and proactive. The job holder must have significant experience of managing suppliers and 3rd parties, and they will be passionate about delivering an excellent IT Service and getting the best outof technology.Key Responsibilities The job holder is accountable to the Group CFO. Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to the following :

• Responsibility for the management of all IT systems, processes and services.
• Managing external suppliers and vendors, and Relationship Manager for all IT suppliers to BIG, including the Managed Service Provider (MSP) providing the outsourced IT Service Desk (ITSD).
• 1st and 2nd line support, including onsite IT support, alongside the remote support provided by the outsourced ITSD.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all IT and Information Security matters.
• Management of all IT projects, including the coordination of suppliers and partners delivering these projects.
• IT Escalation point for complex tickets and service issues, and IT Major Incident Manager.
• Implementation and maintenance of an IT Strategy for BIG.
• Implementation and maintenance of IT and Info Sec policies and procedures, ensuring that best practices are in place.
• IT Asset Management; and IT Budget Management and IT Purchasing via Sage.
• Assistance with staff training on key business platforms.
• Out of hours support, as necessary.

To Qualify You Must Have.

• High levels of IT literacy, and specific detailed knowledge and experience on the following technologies: - Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive. Windows 10. - Microsoft security and management technologies, includingIntune MDM, Authenticator MFA, AutoPilot, Bitlocker, Defender AV for Endpoint. Cisco Umbrella. - Experience trouble shooting and setting up office printers and scanners.
• ITIL v3 (or v4) Foundation level is essential (Practitioner is desirable). PRINCE2 (or a formal Project Management certification) and an IT degree are desirable.
• Experience in the management of an ITSD and a very good knowledge of IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• High levels of experience in Vendor Management, including the management of relationships with IT suppliers, partners and vendors. A good understanding of IT contracts and supplier service levels.
• A can-do attitude and be a self-starter.
• Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills. The ability to multi-task and prioritise successfully.
• Self-motivation, proactivity, drive and the ability to work with minimum guidance.
• Be able to work effectively and confidently under pressure.
• Be able to work collaboratively, with a range of colleagues both across the wider organisation and externally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in briefing senior management up to Executive level.
• Good experience in the management of IT budgets.
• Experience in a similar role supporting a business with multi-sites across the UK.
• An understanding of and commitment to safety culture and values.
• An existing right to work in UK.
• Ideally you will have some experience working within the bioenergy, waste management, energy or renewables sector.
