This role is integral to maintaining our reputation as a provider of choice, ensuring our IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and efficient.Purpose of the Role:As our IT Infrastructure Manager at Heron Foods, you will be instrumental in managing, securing, communicating, and updating our Infrastructure Systems. This role focuses on Network Technologies, Servers, Storage Arrays, PCs, Thin Clients, and communicationsystems across our stores, data centres, and distribution centre, under the guidance of the Head of IT.Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Infrastructure Team to ensure the security, maintenance, and coordination of Network Technologies, Servers, Storage Arrays, PCs, Laptops, and Thin Clients.
• Contribute to the implementation and delivery of strategic and tactical IT objectives.
• Ensure the security and efficient operation of the day-to-day network infrastructure.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with personnel and organisations as needed.
• Plan and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly IT activities, maintaining records and reports.
• Provide mentoring, support, and feedback on technology trends to team members and the IT department.
• Develop effective business relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant field.
• Professional IT qualifications or training (MSCE/CCAA/VCP/CCNP) are desirable.

Skills and Experience:

• Passion for creating clear and engaging customer communications.
• In-depth understanding of Heron Foods values and consumer benefits.
• Strong technological knowledge with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
• Strategic and tactical planning skills.
• Experience in Team and Data Centre Management, project delivery, resource sourcing, and third-party management.

Technologies Exposure:

• Active Directory, Microsoft technologies, Citrix, Cisco, VMWare, Communications, EPOS, Laptops/Thin Clients/Desktops, Phone systems, Backup & DR Solutions.
