We are looking for a Housing Options Officer to fill a role located in Hull.Housing Options OfficerFrom £22p/hContract 37 hours per weekLocation HullFull Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Housing Options Officer to fill a role located in Hull.Roles and responsibilities:* To determine the individual housing needs of customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to determine and discharge the statutory obligations in relation to preventing homelessness, and make decisions in accordance with legislation to enablerehousing solutions.* Determine a customers need for emergency temporary accommodation and arrange suitable placements to ensure that the customers individual needs are met, support the customer during this period and develop an appropriate plan.* To complete intervention visits to prevent homelessness in the private sector and social sector, where there is a serious risk of eviction.Experience & Requirements:* HND/ HNC Business Studies or equivalent.* Experience of working with vulnerable people in either a professional, personal or voluntary capacity.* Knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults, and good knowledge of housing legislation, policies and procedures.* General knowledge of social care legislation.Getting in touch:If you are a Housing Options Officer and are looking for a new position, then send over your up-to-date CV directly or apply now.
