Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a well established and growing construction group in Hull. Established in 1996, the firm operates across a number of related sectors including construction, civil engineering,demolition, logistics, waste management and in the supply of building materials and has grown these respective divisions to a collective group turnover of around £150 Million. They completed 3 successful acquisitions over the Summer and more are expected inthe coming months, so this is an excellent time to join this expanding and entrepreneurial business. Due to a recent internal move in the finance team, they have a current need to bring in a Group Management Accountant to work closely with the Group Financial Controller. This particular role will be responsible for assisting in the production of consolidatedGroup Management Accounts, group reporting and budget setting, as well as having responsibility for the MI production for a portfolio of approximately 8 business entities on the property side of the company. The successful Group Management Accountant willsoon have the support of an Accounts Apprentice who will help with management of some of the more transactional finance duties as well as group recharges, intercompany transactions and group fleet accounting. This is a fantastic opportunity that will have a great deal of variety and autonomy in the role. Benefits on offer: * Competitive salary of up to £45,000 (dependent on experience)* Auto enrolment pension* Holiday entitlement: 23 days + Bank Holidays * Free parking on site A brief overview of duties (but not exhaustive) include: * Assisting and supporting the monthly consolidation process and accounts preparation of group results* Assisting the Group Financial Controller with group budgeting and forecasting * Production and analysis of MI for 8-9 business entities within the property side of the company * Conducting variance analysis on group accounts (Actual Vs Budget)* Production of various weekly/ monthly financial reports* Providing accounting support to the operating divisions* Reporting the cash position of the Group through accurate daily tracking and forecasting* Day to day management and mentorship of accounts apprentice * Processing of intercompany transactions * Managing group recharges * Group fleet accounting and processing fuel recharges * Bank/ Balance Sheet Reconciliations * Assisting with statutory accounts production/ reporting and tax returns * Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit process* Continuous improvement of processes and systems * Project work; Assisting with acquisitions, enhancing group reporting and budgeting process * Any other ad-hoc duties The ideal person will have the following attributes: * CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA Qualified (Qualified by experience will also be considered)* Ideally experience gained within a group set of companies that transact between each other (Desirable) * Technically astute * Good analytical skills * Ability to work to tight and multiple deadlines * Strong communication skills* Ability to pick things up quickly* Good IT skills (Especially Excel) - Experience of using Sage would be preferable This role will be based in the office 5 days a week.If you are interested in this role or would like further information, please dont hesitate to contact me or send your CV for consideration asap.
