Global Commercial Lead (Polymers), UK Based, Occasional Travel to head office in GooleElevation Sales are working with a global specialty chemicals business to recruit a Global Commercial Lead. This is a key role, where you will own a Category / Portfolio within polymers and be responsible for ensuring the commercial performance of that product area.You will be based in the UK but travel Globally (when able) to visit key customers and relevant internal stakeholders.Working with the Global Director you will be responsible for:*Deliver growth for the strategic business unit in line with the global strategy*You will lead and drive portfolio development due to new capabilities and investment*As part of this role, you will act as portfolio lead, effectively managing the portfolio by identifying and prioritising areas of focus for maximising product value*Working with the NPD teams to meet customer, market and business needs *Work with the country sales managers to ensure commercial figures are delivered, be their category expert and visit key customersWhat specific technical knowledge and competencies does the Job Holder require*Experience within the chemical industry, especially polymer and plastics sector*Knowledge of polymer processing*Significant commercial experience in areas of product management, sales development or project management*Sales & customer facing experience highly desirable*Results and delivery focused.*Data-driven strategic thinker, solution provider *Excellent communication skills, experience in cross-cultural/global environments*Strong project management skills with experience managing projects with multi-functional teams*Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail*Educated to degree level Required skills
