Job Description

Front End Developer Required Hull/Hybrid £40k to £60k per annum…Principal IT are excited to be working with one of Hulls most established businesses, this company is a household name in the region and are currently embarking on an exciting digital transformation to bring them onto the 21st century to enable them tobe better placed to compete in a crowded market.This business has really seen massive growth in the last couple of years since they adopted an ecommerce platform and are now looking to grow this platform and really start pushing online sales.As a Front End Developer you will be working on this award winning cutting edge ecommerce platform which is currently generating some impressive revenues, this platform is the future of the industry this client is in and you will be at the forefront of whatis being done in this particular sector.Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Developing mobile first presentation layers that respond consistently across all devices
  • Collaborate closely with UX researchers and UI designers
  • Develop front-end experiences to enhance the user journeys with the highest standards of search, accessibility and HTML compliance in mind including writing automated tests
  • Contribute to ideation and design workshops
  • Integrating to new APIs to add functionality and extend the system
Skills & Experience required:
  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in front end web development
  • Knowledge at least one JavaScript framework such as Nuxt.js / js (mainly used), Next.js / React
  • Experience working with CSS libraries such as Bootstrap, Foundation and Material Design etc.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Experience with best practice SEO principles
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience with an SSR framework, SQL and NoSQL database and working with APIs.
  • Git (BitBucket with JIRA is a bonus).
