Job Description

Freight Forwarder Office based roleLocation: HullSalary: up to £30k (dependant on experience)Hours: Mon-FriGrafton Recruitment are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to work for one of their successful, leading clients in the Hull area.The role:

  • Check vehicles and containers arrive on time with all of the necessary equipment
  • Book transport, shipments, airfreight etc.. whilst ensuring that the customers needs are met
  • Check item(s) shipped as required with correct documentation
  • Confirm deliveries are made on time and are all correct
  • Send delivery confirmation to customers
  • Respond to requests of quotations, assist with the shipping documentation
  • Provide cover for other team members during times of absence
  • General office duties
  • Raise invoices in accordance with clients requirements
You will need:
  • At least 2 years shipping / transport experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve potential conflict situations
  • Understand different business cultures in the EU
