Job Description

An exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic food manufacturing business in the role of a driven and passionate Finance Manager. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of circa £50,000, along with a comprehensive benefits packageinclusive of 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), performance bonuses, and an enhanced pension plan.The Finance Manager will be working independently and as part of a cross functional team to report into the Finance Director.Key Responsibilities include:

  • Take full ownership and accountability for managing weekly and monthly financial accounts, including conducting thorough variance analysis and providing clear explanations.
  • Deliver compelling presentations of the weekly P&L, KPIs, and a monthly board package to both the management team and SLT.
  • Assist with preparing annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and identify site-specific opportunities by conducting comprehensive cost-centre reviews with the management team.
  • Expertly handle monthly VAT returns, cash flow management, CAPEX forecasts, capital expenditure requests, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Take charge of managing and optimising the companys cash flow through the implementation of sound working capital practices and oversee year-end and internal audits.
  • Review and sign off all new vendors, bank account reconciliations and bank payments.
  • Implement and monitor financial control and management reporting procedures and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance of information to statutory authorities including HMRC
  • Any other responsibilities commensurate with the post. Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors.
