Job Description

Finance Manager (with progression opportunities)Full time, permanentWest HullHybrid working optionsMonday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 £35k - £40k Start date: April 2023Office Angels is the market-leading provider of office professional roles across the UK. This role would suit someone currently in a finance management position or someone in a senior role looking for theopportunity to take on a new challenge. You will be joining a forward-thinking, fun and sociable team, with a view to make this role your own. The business also boasts ongoing development opportunities for the successful candidate, up to and including a fullyfunded CIMA qualification.On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be:

  • Processing invoices and setting up payments via BACS and other online payments
  • Preparing customer invoices and statements in line with their required data
  • Allocating receipts and payments in line with agreed budgets and nominal accounts
  • Maintaining effective credit control procedures
  • Regular reconciliation of bank and petty cash
  • Payroll Preparation using BrightPay and setting up monthly staff salary payments
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and timely project reports as required
  • Maintaining cash flow and monitor allocation of resources
  • Dealing with all types of financial queries, investigating discrepancies, identifying and correcting errors
  • Completing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing End of year information
To be successful, you will:
  • Be ambitious to progress within your career
  • Ability to take ownership of full finance procedures for the company
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Quickbooks, VAT returns and BrightPay
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise accordingly
  • Experience dealing with directors to feedback on financial reports
  • Confident using Microsoft packages such as Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and Excel
