Finance Business PartnerSalary: £55,000 - £60,000Benefits: 26 days holiday plus bank holidays + bonus potential to 10% + BUPA private healthcare + hybrid working negotiableLocation: HullAn exceptional opportunity has arisen with a global manufacturer in the food sector. The role sits within an established team of finance professionals and will suit a fully qualified accountant with previous experience of the manufacturing sector.THE ROLE: Reporting into the Head of Finance the role will include cost review including raw material costs, production costs (direct and indirect), depreciation costs and providing support for cost reduction activities including the procurement, logistics and manufacturingcost trackersAnalysing variances in plant costs between market price movements and cost saving initiatives linking with the respective finance teams supporting the marketsProviding capital project finance support including regional fund capex requests, business case financial analysis, approval process support and capital project trackersFinance lead for the Hull site 5 Year Plans (5YP) strategic planning processProvision of reporting, forecasting, and supporting analysis on a timely and accurate basis for both local team and group purposes, monthly management performance reporting including commentary, quarterly forecasts and annual budget including presentationsCost control, revenue control, host the monthly Hull site management meeting including presentation of monthly financials.Project work including providing support including business case evaluation and project spend control for major projects such as major capex, acquisitions, new products, restructuring, new systems.THE CANDIDATE:You are a fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with previous experience of the manufacturing sectorAstute, a skilled communicator and with excellent interpersonal skills, you are a competent problem solver, organised and with a high standard of systems literacyYou are curious in your approach to all analytical and investigative work, are able to challenge and liaise effectively right across a businessImportantly you want to join a forward thinking, highly successful business and be part of a friendly team with an inclusive cultureTHE COMPANY:The company is an international manufacturer in the food/FMCG sector with a long-established manufacturing site in Hull.THE BENEFITS:£55,000 - £60,000 + 26 days holiday plus bank holidays + BUPA private healthcare + potential bonus of up to 10% + company pension scheme + negotiable hybrid workingTHE CONSULTANCY:Edwards & Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
