Job Description

Consortium are pleased to be representing this well established engineering business who are on the look out for an ambitious Finance Assistant.The successful candidate will provide crucial support to the finance team as well as having the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals along the way. This is a development opportunity where we are looking for someone who loves to learn, has a strongwork ethic and wants a career in finance.What is on offer

  • Full-time role:37 hours per week in a vibrant office environment. Some remote working is available.
  • Growth opportunities:Opportunity for study support to complete CIMA qualification
  • Competitive benefits:£27,000 - £28,000 DOE,pension scheme,25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), cycle to work scheme.
Duties:
  • Managing accounts receivable and resolving queries quickly
  • Credit control
  • Accurately uploading invoices to the system
  • Ensure cash forecastings are up to date
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile across intercompany bank accounts
  • Monitor project costings and analyse stock levels
  • Provide support during audits and VAT return preparations
  • This list is not exhaustive, you will gain more responsibility as you grow into the role
Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in an accounts function in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen eye for detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Motivated with a drive to succeed
