Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Sales professional to join an internationally recognised brand working in the building materials industry. An industry that unlike most has proven to stand the test of time even throughout a lock down and pandemic.Covering East Yorkshire (Hull / Beverly) you will visit existing customers to build on our already strong relationship and utilisings your own leads and store based leads to help grow our new business. (Previous Building Materials / Construction experiencenot essential)We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Field Sales Executive to join our team at Jewson, based in Hull on Rotterdam Road. The purpose of this role is to assist the Business Unit in the acquisition of new accounts, development of existing accounts and to ensure that any lapsed or dormant accountsare re-activated; working with all functions to develop and leverage the scale of the Business Unit.At Jewson we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a great welcome to our customers, being proactive when helping them, being trusted, and recognised for our customer first approach.   • Literate and numerate
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Sales planning and experience
  • Customer relationship management
  • Influencing and Negotiation skills
  • Digital sales tools and systems
What will you be responsible for(but not limited to)
  • Find and develop new business via cold calling, lead follow ups, and general customer interaction
  • Support customers with the on-boarding of their new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend
  • Work with the branch teams on agreeing and setting new terms of trade for all accounts
  • Target dormant & lapsed accounts to reactivate them
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability
