GCSE English & Maths Tutors (14-16 College)HullSalary: £23,345 - £29,549 per annum(35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)We currently have two fantastic opportunities to join the 14-16 college either as a Maths or English Tutor to support progress and progression in a student focused environment.Hull 14-16 College, part of Hull College is an exciting and innovative mixed 14-16 School which opened in September 2013. We are looking for inspirational additions to our small team, this is due to the progression of our current tutors.Our 14-16 College offers a unique and exciting opportunity for students of mixed ability who wish to follow a broad programme of academic and vocational study.These English & Maths Tutors roles demand tutors with enthusiasm for the subject and classroom learning, you will be motivated and use various technics to engage and support recall, retention and enjoyment for learning. With all tutors at 14-16 College,the care and support for young people is essential and the ownership of your class room development to engage and build self-esteem for learning is essential. If this sounds like you, please apply.Maths (Edexcel)Joining a second colleague, you will focus on foundation Maths initially, with the addition of ITC option for the first year.English (WJEC)Joining the English team of 2, you will deliver the exciting curriculum of GCSE Language through embedded projects linked to the Sociology syllabus as well as English Literature GCSE.Responsibilities of our English & Maths Tutors- Work within the 14-16 College with approximately 170 KS4 students, all studying GCSEs and Vocational options- Get involved in the wider College duties and support the team culture of making a difference.- Plan, prepare and implement all relevant teaching documentation including- Lead, coordinate and support programme activities which will support the achievement of whole school targets- Support young people in their progression choices through impartial advice and guidance- Act as the key point of contact for all aspects of programme development- Complete all mandatory training in a timely manner- Attend meetings, committees and boards and communicate with colleagues within the School, and the wider CollegeWhat were looking for in ourEnglish & Maths Tutors:- Degree level qualification- Subject specialism (minimum Level 3/4)- Cert.
